Memorial Day Ceremony

Before we left for Columbus last Friday, Glenn and I headed up to the school for a Memorial Day flag ceremony. The second graders were in charge, and Brooke read a poem. Unfortunately we were a tad bit late and walked up right as Brooke was saying her poem. So we kind of missed some of it. But the rest of the ceremony was nice, and the kids all were so quiet and respectful. Holly Lane is quite a patriotic school, and the kids are very used to it. The program was short and sweet, and we are proud of Brooke and the way she practiced her part!
