Cleveland's Newest All-Star

Tonight was the first night of what could possibly be a very long journey in our family. Tonight was Andrew's first baseball game. Not quite little league yet, as there are no balls, strikes, or even outs. And even though Andrew knows the difference, he doesn't care. He loves this game and is ready to play, no matter what form it takes.

To see your sports-loving little boy finally get to take the field is almost overwhelming. He takes it very seriously and almost instinctively knows what to do, despite the lack of serious rules and structure. You can't help but smile as you see him fielding four good ground balls, with four good throws to first, or getting two doubles, one for each time he was at bat.

Go Grasshoppers!

Thanks to Grandma and the Chattys for sharing in the fun and supporting our humble all-star. Thanks to Grandpa for returning Andrew's call so quickly and letting him give the report. We are sad Grandpa had to miss tonight...but we are glad for the pointers and practice! Here's to what Andrew hopes is a long, fulfilling baseball career!

Go Andrew! Maybe you will help the Indians win a championship!! We're proud of you and wish we could have been there.
